IMPOSSIBLY LOVELY

Lovely. Coachable. Consistent. Did I mention lovely? Getting to spend the morning with this aspiring model was in a word...lovely. For a photographer, having a model who was game to try anything, anywhere, at our location where the setups were boundless — we made it a model’s playground. From three dimensional wooden architectural walls to sheer curtains, posh lounges, and sculptural chairs. We worked both red and black grand pianos, jewel-toned sumptuous velvet couches, hallways, stairwells, landings, the outdoor garden, the sun-drenched windows and walls and yes...even the elevator. And just when I thought we were done, more inspiration would strike, and we just kept going. 

Finally, as we were wrapping things up, I asked her to simply walk away and carry her shoes at her side (All 5" of them, not that this Glamazon needed extra height). It was picturesque and inevitably led us to the top of the stairs, where I said, "Wait! One more shot. Just sit right there at the top of the stairs and give me “tired model”... we tossed a heel down the stairs, she delivered, and we captured this lovely "Mia-rella" moment in all her sunlit loveliness. The outcome of the shoot left me with the impossible task of reviewing hours of so lovely footage — of this impossibly lovely girl, who is poised to take on the world in her next chapter, one lovely foot in front of the other.
